NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Mt. Juliet man was killed when his scooter collided with a car on Saturday night.

Police said 48-year-old Paul Woodcock was riding his Genuine Buddy 125 scooter eastbound on Lebanon Pike near Spence Lane when he struck a 2003 Infiniti G35 around 11:15 p.m.

Their investigation found that the driver of the Infiniti, identified as 35-year-old Dustin Bunch of Bowling Green, Kentucky, was driving westbound on Lebanon Pike when he turned left in front of the scooter as he tried to turn into the Shell station.

Woodcock, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.

Bunch told police he did not see the scooter, and police said there was no evidence he was impaired..

Police said the preliminary cause of the crash was Bunch's failure to yield. The investigation was ongoing.

No word on whether Bunch will face any charges.
