Posted: Updated:

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A Robertson County volunteer firefighter has been charged with aggravated statutory rape after deputies said he had sex with a 14-year-old girl.

The Robertson County Sheriff's Office said their investigation found that most of the sexual contact between 36-year-old Joseph McQuiston and the juvenile female victim happened at the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, where he was a volunteer firefighter.

Authorities said McQuiston confessed and admitted to the sexual contact during questioning.

He was booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility on September 16, and released on $5,000 bond.
