Driver Flees Scene After Crashing Truck Into Yard

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A driver fled the scene after crashing his truck into a south Nashville yard overnight.

Linda Atwood and her family were watching TV at their home on Packard Drive when they heard a loud bang just before midnight.

When they went outside, they found a wrecked truck right on the doorstep of their home. The driver was nowhere to be seen.

Believe it or not, the family said this isn't the first or the second time it this has happened.

"It's happened ten or twelve times before. I've called to try to get them to reinforce that guardrail or lengthen it, anything to keep those people out of the yard," said

Fortunately, the truck didn't hit the house, but Atwood said her flower beds were torn up. The guardrail will also have to be replaced.

The driver remained on the loose.
