Canceled Mud Run Registrants Given Chance To Participate In Different Race

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Some good news for folks left high and dry by the sudden cancellation and no refund policy of the Great American Mud Run.

Organizer of the Original Mud Run, set for Saturday in Franklin, said anyone who signed up and paid for the Great American Mud Run can participate in their race for free.

Earlier this month, NewsChannel 5 Investigates learned runners were notified just before the Great American Mud Run in Manchester in July that the race was being postponed until November.

Runners were told they could get a full refund of their registration fee, or race in November.

Those who opted for the refunds never received them. A short time later, another email from organizers of the Great American Mud Run said the race was cancelled completely, and no refunds would be offered.

Anyone who wants to take part in the Original Mud Run on Saturday needs to email in their proof of payment from the Great American Mud Run to info@imudrun.com. Once it's confirmed, the registration fee will be waived.
