COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Police officers have been searching for three robbery suspects caught on surveillance video in Maury County.

Officials said two suspects walked into a mid-state store, armed with weapons and demanded cash. The suspects were caught on surveillance video and Columbia Police hope it will help catch the three robbers.

Columbia Police have been investigating five Dollar General Store robberies in the last year. They have been investigating to see if the robberies were connected.

Their biggest leads have been the images captured on tape.

The most recent Dollar General Store robbery happened at East James Campbell Boulevard in Columbia earlier this month on September 14.

Surveillance video showed the armed robbers walk into the store and call demands to the clerk.

Investigators said it looked like the robbers knew what they were doing. One person served as a lookout, while the other two grabbed the cash.

Dollar General released this statement in response:

"Dollar General strives to provide a safe work environment for its employees and a welcoming place for our customers to shop. We are cooperating with local authorities."

While no one was hurt in this particular case, investigators said it could have been worse, especially because shoppers were also in the store.
