Police Identify Man Shot, Killed In North Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The man who was shot and killed Monday night in a north Nashville neighborhood has been identified by police.

Metro Police said 29-year-old Lejuan Evans, of Taylor Street, was shot multiple times around 6:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of Delta Avenue in the Cheatham Place public housing development.

He was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives developed strong leads overnight, and were working to identify those involved as well as the motive behind Evans' shooting.

The investigation was ongoing.
