NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A 19-year-old man has been charged in a July drug-related robbery and murder in north Nashville.

DeShawn Stone was charged in a grand jury indictment with first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, and attempted first-degree murder for the July 18th fatal shooting of 27-year-old Harold Carr.

Carr was a front seat passenger in a Ford Explorer on Booker Street near 28th Avenue North when shots were fired. Carr, along with the driver 28-year-old Sidney Stuart, were struck.

Carr died from his injuries, while Stuart suffered critical injured.

Stone was later identified as one of the suspects, but police said additional arrests were possible. The motive for the shooting is believed to be a drug-related robbery.

Stone has been in the Metro Jail since his August 2 arrest on cocaine possession in a drug-free school zone.
