Crews Repair Water Line Issue In North Nashville; Road Reopens

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Crews repaired a water line issue and reopened a major roadway in north Nashville on Wednesday morning.

Crews with Metro Water were called out to restore water to a business on Jefferson Street between 12th Avenue North and 14th Avenue North around 6 p.m. Tuesday. In order to figure out the issue, they had to wait until later in the evening to dig a hole in the roadway.

After digging the hole in the roadway, they found more issues including old trolley line running parallel under the road. Workers also found a service gas line, but did not hit the line. The gas company came out to help with that issue.

Crews filled in the hole with dirt as they worked to get the roadway back open.

The road reopened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
