NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The man accused of shooting his estranged girlfriend inside the vision store where she worked before shooting himself in the head has been released from the hospital, and booked into jail.

Henry D. Talley, age 30, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment, order of protection violation, and unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon.

Metro Police said Talley entered the Visionworks on Gallatin Pike on September 4, and shot 26-year-old Ronkeisha Briley, his estranged girlfriend and mother of his child. A 23-year-old female employee at the business was also grazed by a bullet.

A few minutes later, Talley shot himself in the head inside his car as officers tried to take him into custody.

Talley was discharged from Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Tuesday. He was held in the Metro Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond. His first court appearance was scheduled for Friday.

Briley has also been released from the hospital, but continued to recuperate from her injuries.
