Vacant Home Damaged By Fire In West Nashville

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Investigators were on the scene of a vacant house fire on Tuesday morning.

First responders reported flames and smoke coming from the home on Westlawn Court when they got on the scene around 5:15 a.m.

The neighbors said the owners had just moved out of the home, and there were only a few items left in the home that they had planned to come back and get. However, the power was still on.

The front window of the home was broken out, and firefighters had to remove multiple items from inside the home. The damage was contained to the front room of the home.

The Fire Marshal said the cause of the fire could be a wall heater found inside the home.
