KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee has hired Ashley Bonck Wilson as an associate director of sports medicine whose primary role will involve working with the women's basketball program.
Her hiring was announced Monday in a university release.
Tennessee had been seeking someone to handle medical training for the women's basketball program since the departure of Jenny Moshak, who announced in August that she was taking early retirement. Moshak, who spent 24 years at Tennessee, sued the university for discrimination and retaliation last fall.
Bonck Wilson had been working as Mississippi's athletic trainer for women's basketball since May 2011. She previously spent three seasons with the Lamar women's basketball program and worked two years as a graduate assistant with the Oklahoma women's volleyball team.
