RECIPE # 5083 - PUMPKIN PIE HONEY SPICED ALMONDS - Fri., Oct. 12, 2013

1 egg white

1/2 c sugar

2 T Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey

1 1/2 t salt

1 t cinnamon

1/2 t ground ginger

1/4 t cloves

1/4 t nutmeg

4 c whole almonds*

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Whisk the egg white in a medium bowl until frothy. Stir in sugar, Tennessee Honey, salt, cinnamon, ginger,cloves, and nutmeg. Add the almonds and stir until well-coated with the mixture. Spread the nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast 30 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking, until the nuts are golden brown and fragrant. Loosen the nuts from the pan while hot. Let cool. Store in an airtight container.

*Substitute pecans or walnuts for a twist.
