CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A father and his daughter were seriously injured after a motorcycle collision in Montgomery County.

Officials said Timothy Cutrell and his 16-year-old daughter were injured when the motorcycle they were riding was struck from behind by a car. The crash happened at Highway 76 and Old Farmer's Road in Clarksville Saturday.

According to investigators, firefighters were responding to an unrelated call when they stopped at the highway to yield for oncoming traffic. Police said the firemen witnessed a car being driven by Francisco Jimenez speeding down the road and hit the back of the motorcycle.

Both Cutrell and his daughter were thrown from the motorcycle. The firemen, already on the scene, responded to the victims.

The condition of the victims was not available.
