Police Investigating Home Invasion, Sexual Assault

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police are investigating a home invasion and burglary that ended with sexual assault at a south Nashville home Tuesday.

It happened around 4 p.m. at a townhome on Spence Enclave Lane. Sex Crime Detectives said they are actively pursuing leads as they work to identify the man responsible of raping a woman inside her home.

The 32-year-old victim was preparing to leave for work and had just opened her front door when the suspect forced his way inside. He raped the victim at gunpoint and stole several items belonging to her, including her Toyota SUV. 

The vehicle was recoverd Wednesday morning at Ed Temple Boulevard and Clarksville Pike.

The investigation was ongoing.
