MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. – A teenager was killed and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Maury County Tuesday night.

The crash happened on Mount Olivet Road at King Road around 6:30 p.m.

A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol said a 17-year-old male driver, who was not identified, was driving north on Mount Olivet Road in a 1997 Nissan Sentra with two other teens in the car. For unknown reasons, he crossed the center line into the path of a 1997 Chevrolet S10 in the southbound lanes.

The front passenger in the Sentra, identified as 15-year-old Kane Ragsdale, was killed. The report said he was not wearing a seatbelt. The teen driver along with 17-year-old Dillon J. Borrego were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but their conditions were unknown.

The THP said it was not clear if they were wearing their seatbelts.

The driver of the S10, identified as 28-year-old Adam Lance, was also injured and taken to Maury County Regional Hospital. He was wearing a seatbelt.

The THP report said speed was believed to be a factor in the crash, and criminal charges were pending.
