NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Four people were arrested after police discovered a package containing eight pounds of marijuana was delivered to a south Nashville business.

Metro Police charged 34-year-old William Guerrero and his roommate, 35-year-old Kotsada Phommachack, with possessing marijuana for resale.

Police said Guerrero accepted a package at the Nails and Spa on Harding Place where he worked. He then put the package in his vehicle, and began to drive home.

Officers stopped him after spotting him running a stop sign at Ezell Road and Luna Drive. A K-9 alerted on the vehicle, and the package containing the marijuana was found during a subsequent search.

During questioning, Guerrero said he accepted the package, but was going to take it back to the U.S. Post Office because his nail salon did not order any packages.

Police went to their home on Bakertown Road, and knocked on the door. Phommachack was taken into custody after police said he was found clutching pieces of what detectives believed to a be a drug ledger.

Investigators used Phommachack's phone  to alert purchasers that the product had arrived. Talan Noman, 25, and Samson Bitda, 30, were arrested after they came to the home to allegedly buy marijuana. They were charged with engaging in marijuana conspiracy.

More than $2,200 cash and a gun were also seized during the investigation.
