Father Of Spring Hill Teen Killed In Crash Speaks Out

Posted: Updated:

SPRING HILL, Tenn. – The father of the Spring Hill teen killed in an accident Tuesday is speaking out about how his family is mourning after the tragedy.

Ricky Ragsdale says he's received an outpour of support from Kane's friends. "From the minute word got out, started getting phone calls, text, Facebook, Twitter," said Ragsdale. "They'll write stories, little snippets of things that have happened. I can't count on my hands and toes how many times people say he always makes everyone laugh and smile."

Ragsdale said his son's friends are even trying to raise money for the funeral by making t-shirts for his memorial and bumper stickers.

"Humbling to know God blessed us with a son that was so good to everyone else too," added Ragsdale.

Friday night, Spring Hill high school students held a moment of silence for Kane during the football game.

Ragsdale said he eventually wants to visit schools and share the importance of wearing a seatbelt, something he said could have save Kane's life.
