MT. JULIET, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities said a Lebanon man has been arrested in the 2011 kidnapping of a Mt. Juliet teenager.

Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested 33-year-old Jeremy Darnell on a charge of especially aggravated kidnapping.

Darnell has been accused of forcing a 14-year-old girl into the passenger side seat of his truck at the Providence Marketplace parking lot on August 5, 2011.

After a struggle in the vehicle, the girl escaped, ran to safety and contacted police.

The TBI said it received eyewitness information identifying Darnell as the abductor on Thursday.

Darnell has been booked into the Wilson County Jail. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
