Historic Hillsboro Home Suffers Fire Damage

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A historic home in Davidson County was damaged after a fire broke out.

Officials with the Nashville Fire Department said they responded to a fire at a home located on Hillsboro Pike near Tyne Boulevard Saturday morning. The home has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire and remained on the scene to control hot spots. Fire officials said no was injured in the fire but the home suffered significant damage during the blaze.

The intersection near Hillsboro Pike and Tyne Boulevard had to be temporarily shut down while firefighters battled the flames. The road has since been reopened.

No other details were immediately released.
