BELL BUCKLE, Tenn. - As communities all over middle Tennessee have continued to struggle for ways to bring in more money, one small Bedford County town got a big boost in sales tax revenue.

About 80 thousand people flooded the tiny town of Bell Buckle in Bedford County this weekend for its annual Downtown Arts and Crafts Show.

It may have seemed like fun and games for the people attending, but it was serious business, bringing in lots of sales tax revenue that helps keep the community financially afloat.

"The people who rent space to these vendors use that money to spend on Christmas and pay taxes," said Rodney Simmons, a festival organizer.  "It's a huge kick."

More than 125 booths were at this year's Downtown Show in Bell Buckle.  The community has been putting on the show for nearly 30 years.
