RECIPE # 5088 MASTER MEAT SAUCE Thu. Oct. 24, 2013

4 lbs. lean ground meat
1 medium onion, minced
1  6 oz. can tomato paste, plus 6 ounces water
2  15 oz. cans tomato sauce
1 t garlic powder

Brown meat on medium-high heat in a large skillet; drain fat.
Add onion, tomato paste, tomato sauce and garlic powder to meat in skillet.
Simmer 20 to 30 minutes. Add extra tomato paste to thicken if neccssary.
After sauce cools, place 1 c portions in freezer quality bags, seal and freeze. 
Makes 9 cups.
