SMYRNA, Tenn. – A registered sex offender was arrested Thursday night after police said he exposed himself to at least three women in parking lots in Smyrna.

Smyrna Police arrested 31-year-old Mario Frederick around 9:30 p.m. with the assistance of the La Vergne Police Department.

Authorities said Frederick confronted the young women as they were getting in or out of their vehicles. He allegedly exposed himself from the waist down and preformed a sexual act.

The exposures happened on separate days this month at Kroger and Walgreens on West Sam Ridley, and Kmart on North Lowry Street.

Smyrna Police said Frederick has a history of several acts of Indecent Exposure in the Montgomery County area. He is a registered sex offender for committing three or more acts of Indecent Exposure. He also has a federal conviction for Indecent Exposure for exposing himself to a victim while on the Fort Campbell military post.

At the time of the incidents in Smyrna, Frederick was free on bond in Montgomery County for violation of the sex offender registry.

Smyrna Police have taken out four arrest warrants for indecent exposure against Frederick.
