Jessica Ralston - Anchor/Reporter

Emmy-award winning journalist Jessica Ralston can be seen weeknights as co-anchor of NewsChannel 5 at 5 and 10 p.m. She joined the NewsChannel 5 team in the fall of 2013. 

Jessica was born in Superior, Wisconsin, raised in Youngstown, Ohio and has also lived in Orlando, Florida. She got her start in broadcasting at WFMJ TV-21 in Youngstown and moved on to WDTV in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She laid down some roots at WSAZ in Charleston/Huntington, West Virginia for 10 years before finally landing her dream job at NewsChannel 5 in Nashville.

Jessica is a dedicated and die-hard journalist who thrives on breaking news and interviewing headline makers. She has been honored with an Emmy award four times for her work as an anchor covering major breaking news events. 

Jessica has also been honored by the Associated Press and Broadcaster's Association a record 30 times for awards, including "Broadcast Journalist of the Year," "Best Anchor," "Best Reporter," "Best Enterprise Reporter," "Best Breaking News Coverage," and "Best PM Newscast." She was also nominated for a "Woman of Merit" award and twice named "Talent of the Year" in West Virginia.

Jessica is passionate about volunteerism and staying active in the community. She has served as an emcee for hundreds of charity events and hosted several TV events including The Children's Miracle Network Telethon, The MDA Labor Day Telethon, The Miss West VirginiaAmerica Pageant, The Gazette-Mail Statewide Spelling Bee and served as moderator for several Gubernatorial and Senatorial televised debates.

Jessica lives in downtown Nashville with her fiance' Jimmy and two dachshunds named Ginger and Ellie Mae.
