NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Southwest Airlines Co. plans to drop nonstop flights from Norfolk to Jacksonville, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee, in 2014.

Norfolk International Airport market development director Charles Braden told The Virginian-Pilot that demand for the flights has declined.

Braden said the flights will be cut in March 2014.

He said Southwest also plans to resume a nonstop flight from Norfolk to Tampa, Florida, on a seasonal basis in November. The airline had discontinued this service in June.

If the Tampa flight does well, Braden said Southwest could restore it to year-round service.
