House Destroyed By Fire In East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A house in east Nashville was destroyed by fire late Tuesday morning.

When firefighters got on the scene on North 6th Street around 10:45 a.m., they found heavy smoke and flames. The windows had already been broken out by the fire.

They were able to extinguish the blaze very quickly, but the left front side of the home suffered serious damage. The entire home suffered smoke damage, and is uninhabitable.

The renter was at work when he got the call about the fire, and he along with another person who lived in the home were displaced. They did not have renter's insurance.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
