NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Tuesday night in south Nashville.

Metro Police said 37-year-old Jesse Jerman was driving north along Nolensville Road around 9:30 p.m. when he attempted to pass a pickup truck in the turning lane. Police said he apparently did not move far enough to the right of the truck, and struck its rear passenger side.

Jerman, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle, and died at the scene.

The pick-up truck driver, identified as 57-year-old Jeannette Wade, was not hurt.

Police said there was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene. The investigation was ongoing.
