NASHVILLE, Tenn. - City officials said Wednesday they won't be postponing trick-or-treating for the Metro area because of possible severe weather, instead Mayor Karl Dean's office said that decision is up to individual neighborhoods.

"I think moving it to Friday night wouldn't be a bad idea, it's a weekend anyways. I know surrounding areas and cities and counties are doing that. I wish Metro would think about that and change their mind," said mother of four Hillary Chistison who lives in Crieve Hall.

NewsChannel 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Charlie Neese said "by 7 p.m. in the evening, right as the trick-or-treaters would be heading out, still a good chance of rainfall."

"Certainly be aware trick-or-treat time could be very wet around middle Tennessee," he added.
