Antioch Market Robbed At Gunpoint By Four Men

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An Antioch market was robbed at gunpoint by four men overnight.

Metro Police said the robbers were wearing hoodies when they forced one of the employees inside the Saint George Market on Murfreesboro Pike around 12:30 a.m. One of the men was armed with a gun, and demanded money from the clerks.

They took money from the cash register, and stole the wallets of the three employees and one customer inside the store.

The four robbers fled the store. Police detectives said they were reviewing surveillance video from the store, along with the car wash next door where they believe the robbers parked their getaway vehicle. They also hope fingerprints left behind at the scene will help them identify the robbers.

No one was hurt in the robbery, but the employees were shaken up.

NewsChannel 5 learned that the panic alarm at the store was pressed twice, but did not work. Police were called when the manager arrived at the store a half hour after the crime.

A description of the robbers was not immediately released. Police said they were in their early to mid-20s.
