Suspect Fires Shot During Bank Robbery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have been searching for the suspect who they said fired a single shot during a robbery at a Suntrust Bank south of the airport.

The robbery happened just before 4 p.m. Thursday at 2509 Murfreesboro Pike.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the male suspect walked into the bank, fired a single shot and demanded to be let into a locked storage office at the rear of the building.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Witnesses said the man was wearing all black clothing and covered his face with black pantyhose.
