Tenn. Man Expected To Plead Guilty In Child Rape

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - A Memphis man has agreed to plead guilty to raping a 3 -year-old girl in a crime the girl's 5-year-old brother caught on an iPhone.

The Commercial Appeal reported that 45-year-old Khamprason Song Keophila waived his preliminary hearing in Shelby County General Sessions Court Thursday and signed papers agreeing to a plea deal on a charge of rape of a child.

Court records show Keophila agreed to serve 100 percent of a 25-year prison sentence and to remain on the sex offender registry for life.

The victim's mother discovered the video while looking through her son's iPhone.

Assistant Public Defender Terrance Tatum says Keophila is expected to officially plead guilty during a Criminal Court hearing, which has not yet been set.

Keophila remains jailed on a million-dollar bond.
