COLUMBIA, Tenn. – A Columbia man wanted for a violent assault has been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Top Ten Most Wanted list.

Deterines Cortae Cathey, also known as 'Weeda', is wanted by the Columbia Police Department on charges of aggravated assault, felony possession of a firearm, coercion of a witness, and possession of a weapon during a violent felony.

On October 19, Columbia Police said Cathey went to a home on East 9th Street and assaulted a man after hearing information that his relative was involved in a verbal argument. Police said Cathey also threatened a witness via text who was present during the altercation.

Police said the convicted felon is member of the "Kitchen Crips" gang, and should be considered armed and dangerous. The 24-year-old has a "KC" tattoo on his left cheek, and tattoos on both of his arms.

His last known address was 130 Westview Drive in Columbia.

Any information on Cathey's whereabouts should be reported to 1-800-TBI-FIND. A $1,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest.
