ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. – A passerby discovered the body of a driver involved in a crash in southern Kentucky on Thursday night.
Kentucky State Police said the body of 36-year-old James Stotts was found in the roadway by a passerby on State Highway 100 in Allen County.
Troopers said Stotts was driving a 2005 Grand Cherokee when he veered off the right shoulder, and it flipped when it hit a ditch.
He was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle. The passerby found his body and the wreckage and called 911.
Stotts was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe alcohol was a contributing factor.
The investigation was ongoing.
