School Bus Crashes In White County; No Injuries

SPARTA, Tenn. – Emergency crews have responded to a crash involving a school bus in White County. No injuries were reported.

The crash happened Friday afternoon on State Highway 136 northwest of Sparta. Witnesses reported the bus crashed into a light pole.

It was unknown if there were any students on board the bus, but officials with the White County Sheriff's Office said there were no injuries.

Sergeant Bill Miller with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the bus was traveling on Highway 136/Old Kentucky Road between Milk Plant Road and Burgess Road when it exited the roadway and struck the pole. 

Troopers were headed to the scene to conduct an investigation. 

The exact cause of the crash was not yet available.
