I-40 Eastbound Reopened In Mt. Juliet After 4-Car Crash

MT. JULIET, Tenn. – All three lanes of eastbound Interstate 40 have been reopened in Mt. Juliet after a four-car crash with injuries.

The crash was reported at 4:20 p.m. Friday. Details on the cause of the crash were not available.

On their Twitter page, officials with the Mt. Juliet Police Department said the injuries were non-critical. 

Officials said the left lanes were previously blocked, but have since been reopened. Westbound lanes were not affected.

Traffic cameras showed cars backed up for about six miles to the Old Hickory Boulevard exit in Hermitage. Drivers have been advised to avoid the area.

The roadway has been under construction and has been the spot of several crashes.
