Veterans Day Events Held Across Mid-State

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Several events were being throughout the mid-state Monday to honor veterans.

Nashville's annual Veterans Day Parade made its way down Broadway, with motorcycles, bands, and many more.

At 1:15 p.m., the Governor will host a Veterans Day Event at the Tennessee Tower Plaza.

The Coffee County Veterans Day Ceremony was also held Monday in the Downtown Manchester Square.

In Wilson County, a parade will also be held at 10 a.m. followed by a groundbreaking on $1.2 million Veterans Park and Museum next to the county courthouse.

The Democratic Veterans Council of Tennessee is also holding a blood drive starting at 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Franklin at 112B East Fowlkes Street.

Many area businesses are giving back to military veterans with discounts. Restaurants like Chili's, Outback Steakhouse, and Applebee's will be offering specials on Veterans Day. For more on those, go to
