NASHVILLE, Tenn. - It isn't hard to find a singer or songwriter in Nashville. The city is full of them. Many of them have their own stories of how they got here.

One local artist found her passion for music after another passion ended.  For Morgan LaFave, moving to Music City meant her dreams of ever being an Olympic figure skater were over.

Diagnosed with arthritis and a rare autoimmune disease at the age of 14, the Pennsylvania native had to say goodbye to a life set before her.

Determined not to let that energy go to waste, LaFave traded in her skates for her guitar. Her past is part of a story she puts in her songs. It goes to show Nashville is a city of dreams after all, where LaFave's dreams were never over, but only transformed.

On Monday, Morgan LaFave's new single "Kiss Me Like That Again" is expected to debut on Vanderbilt's radio station.
