CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Several teachers at a Fort Campbell daycare are suspended after an alleged Halloween fright that parents just found out about.

Parents said the teachers were terrorizing toddler-aged children at a Halloween party.

Tatiana Sechrest said her daughter and the other students weren't allowed to wear scary costumes, but the teachers are accused of donning "Scream" masks, turning out the lights and scaring the one and two year old kids.

Sechrest said parents were just notified about the incident, Thursday.

It is not clear why it took so long to tell parents, but Sechrest said her daughter's class had all new teachers, Friday.

The teachers involved in the incident are on suspension while it is being investigated, according to Fort Campbell Public Affairs.

Sechrest says for the teachers to do this is a serious violation of trust by people she leaves her kids with every day.

"I was almost in tears when I watched my child on the video being frightened like that," she said. "Being scared and afraid. I drop her off at this daycare center because it's a safe place. It's on Fort Campbell. It's on an army base."

The incident was caught on security video, but Fort Campbell would not release the footage.

Sechrest said it happened at the Eagles daycare center on Fort Campbell. The base would not confirm that.

Two outside agencies are investigating the incident and whether further action should be taken against the suspended teachers.

Fort Campbell Public Affairs released a statement, Friday confirming the incident happened and "this type of thing is beyond the scope of what is accepted as Army standard values."
