Accused McDonalds Robber Taken Into Custody

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man wanted for robbing a south Nashville fast food restaurant has been taken into custody.

Police said 20-year-old Daron M. Garrett surrendered during the night at police headquarters. Garrett was charged with aggravated robbery for allegedly robbing the McDonalds at 4041 Nolensville Pike on Sunday night.

Police said Garrett entered the McDonalds on Nolensville near Harding Place around 10 p.m. He had a black, semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the safe.

The employees complied, and he fled the scene on foot.

Garrett received a three-year sentence for a 2011 aggravated burglary. He was also convicted of a reduced misdemeanor marijuana charge in March of this year.
