Designer Shoes, Purses Stolen From Brentwood Home

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - Shoes and purses estimated at thousands of dollars are missing from a midstate home. The theft happened in Brentwood's exclusive neighborhood the Governor's Club.

Pat Turner of Brentwood has a room full of designer bags and shoes and has an attachment to each one, so when some of her high-end items turned up missing beginning earlier this year, she took notice.

Turner believes she knows who's responsible. She even found some of her items posted on websites for sale, but she says Brentwood Police have yet to take action.

"That's part of the issue is that they have treated me like some person who's kind of weird, likes shoes and purses and for which they don't care if they find them or not," said Turner.

Detectives have been investigating this case since August and say they're working as quickly as they can to make an arrest.

"In a case like this, we want to gather as many facts as we can and conduct a thorough investigation," said Brentwood Assistant Chief Tommy Walsh. "We're sorry that those items have been taken from her, and we're going to do what we can to bring this person to justice."

However, time is ticking for a woman who wants more than just justice. She wants some of her prized possessions.

Turner estimates she had at least 20 bags, two or three watches, and 11 pair of designer shoes stolen. She believes the items are valued at $100,000.

Brentwood Police said they're preparing to present their case against the suspect to the Williamson County Grand Jury next month.
