TROUSDALE COUNTY, Tenn. – A 75-year-old woman was killed in a house fire in Trousdale County on Tuesday morning.

Heavy smoke and flames were coming from the house on Highway 141 South in Hartsville when fire crews got on the scene around 8:40 a.m.

Fire officials identified the woman who died as Juanita Jackson, who was wheelchair-bound. She was the only person home at the time of the fire, according to officials.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

The house, which is located near the Wilson/Trousdale County line, was destroyed by the flames.
