Convicted Felon Accused Of Selling Drugs Out Of Mother's Home

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A convicted felon was arrested after allegedly selling drugs to an undercover police officer.

Police arrested 33-year-old Maurice Lawrence Thursday after police discovered he had more than just drugs in his possession. Police said he also had several stolen guns.

Lawrence was staying with his mother, and police said he was conducting a drug operation out of her house.

His mom showed up during his arrest and gave police permission to go inside the home.

Police said they found marijuana, cocaine and digital scales. In his bedroom they also found three handguns-- one of them a .40 caliber that was reported stolen from West Virginia—and there was also a semi-automatic rifle.

Lawrence told police everything they found in the home belonged to him.

He was booked on a felony drug offense, and his bond was set at $150,000.
