Antioch Apartment Complex Fire Deemed Suspicious

Posted: Updated:

ANTIOCH, Tenn. – A fire at a vacant apartment complex in Antioch on Sunday night has been deemed suspicious.

Officials with the Nashville Fire Department said the fire was reported around 9 p.m. at an apartment complex on Payne Road, just off of Una Antioch Pike. They said the complex had been vacant for years and had no electricity or running water.

According to fire crews, responders had a difficult time getting near the scene because the complex was under construction. They said the entry to the building was blocked with piles of loose gravel.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
