Ensworth Football Coaches Allowed Back In The Game

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Two Ensworth Coaches will be back in the game following a suspension, just in time for their team to play in the state championship.

Coach Ricky Bowers and Assistant Paul Wade won an appeal Monday by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association.

The two were ejected during a semifinal game on November 22. They are accused of swearing and even making contact with the referee following the late hit of one of their players.

The TSSAA determined Bowers and Wade were ejected after the game against Brentwood Academy had ended.

Ensworth is set to take on Memphis University School for the Division 2AA state title on Thursday at Tennessee Tech.
