Man Killed In Crash On I-24E In Rutherford County

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – A 23-year-old man was killed when his vehicle went underneath the back of a semi-truck on Interstate 24 eastbound in Rutherford County on Wednesday morning.

William J. Myers, of Hillsboro, was killed in the crash just before 5 a.m. at mile marker 92.

A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Myers was driving a 2013 Nissan Sentra in the left lane when he crossed into the right lane and slammed into the back of the semi truck. The Sentra went underneath the trailer of the truck, killing Myers.

The truck driver was not hurt.

No charges will be filed.
