Police Search For Old Hickory Home Break-In Suspects

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have been searching for two suspects after an elderly woman woke up in the middle of the night to find the men breaking into her home.

The scary incident happened around 2 a.m. Thursday at a house on the 1600 block of Turner Street in the Old Hickory area.

Officials said the men broke a window and entered the home. The 86-year-old victim told police she woke up to see two men in her bedroom. Both were wearing hoodies.

Her immediate reaction was to scream, which was apparently enough to scare them off. They took off running and police have not been able to find them.

Officers from the Hermitage Precinct of the Metro Nashville Police Department were able to respond quickly to the home with K-9 units and search for the suspects.

They were unable to locate the men. Investigators dusted for fingerprints, hoping to get a clue about the suspects' identities.

It was not clear if the men took anything from the home.

Anyone with information about the burglary or who may know who was responsible should contact CRIME STOPPERS at 74-CRIME (615-742-7463).
