ALCOA, Tenn. (AP) - A couple of East Tennessee youngsters are making a difference in their community by raising money for a food pantry.

Lucah Daugherty and his sister, Bella Grace Daugherty, have been selling bracelets that say "Love Others" for $1 each to students, teachers and staff at the Alcoa schools. All proceeds from the sales go to the Empty Pantry Fund, a food pantry for the poor.

The children's mother, Christy Daugherty, who is a teacher at Alcoa High School, said they got the idea after receiving mail about a charity in Knox County raising money to help feed the hungry during the holiday season.

After some research, they found the Empty Pantry fund in Blount County and decided to raise money for it.
