NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Now that the teams are set, preparations are underway for the 16thFranklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.

This year's game will feature the Ole Miss Rebels and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

"We're thrilled with the match up," said Scott Ramsey, President of the Music City Bowl.  "We've got two regional teams with great fan bases.  The game is on a Monday so there is a chance to come in for the weekend and spend three or four days in Music City and have fun."

Ramsey said first organizers are working on making sure everything from printed materials to practice sites will be ready for the two teams.  Representatives from both schools are expected to visit Nashville in the next couple of days.

"It's a pretty hectic couple of weeks between now and Christmas," said Ramsey.  "We're excited and we're feeling good."

Organizers said each year the bowl game brings about 35,000 visiting fans to Nashville and about $15 million to the local economy.

Local bar and restaurant owners hope this year is even bigger and better.

"This is a busy time of year," said Sam Sanchez, Owner of Sam's All American Sports Grill in Hillsboro Village.  "Georgia Tech fans travel well, and Ole Miss has traveling down to a science.  I think it will be very good."

The game will kick off Monday, December 30th at 2:15 p.m.  It will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
