Patches Of Ice Possible On Mid-State Roadways

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The snow may have melted, but there still could be patches of ice left behind on the roadways.

Drivers were urged to use caution Wednesday morning, especially on rural roads as well as bridges and overpasses which ice over more easily than roadways.

AAA said black ice will be a little darker and duller than the rest of the road surface. If you encounter ice, brake slowly.

Metro Police said the winter weather has caused lots of headaches for drivers the past two days. On Monday between 6 and 9 a.m., 15 property damage crashes were reported as well as five calls for injury accidents.

And on Tuesday, there were eight calls for personal injury wrecks and 96 crashes involved property damage.
