Hendersonville Target Evacuated After Gas Leak

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – A Target store in Sumner County has been evacuated after a gas leak was reported inside the story.

Officials with the Hendersonville Fire Department said an employee apparently hit the gas line while driving a fork lift. The incident happened Wednesday just after 5 p.m. at the Target on Andrews Run, just off New Shackle Island Road.

It was unclear if anyone was being treated for injuries.

Firefighters were working to contain the leak.

Officials did not say how long they expected the store to remain evacuated.
