KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Two Tennessee National Guardsmen have suffered minor injuries when their helicopter made an emergency landing in Knox County.

Knox County emergency records show the helicopter went down around 6:45 p.m. EST Friday.

Knox County Sheriff Jimmy "J.J." Jones told the Knoxville News Sentinel that the chopper apparently landed because of a mechanical problem. The nature of the problem wasn't immediately clear.

Jones said the two guardsmen on board reported only minor injuries. They were taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
